Job Description
Our Team
Handelsbanken Markets is looking for interns to join as eFX quants. You will be a part of either the eFX developer team or the eFX sales team. The units are collaborating closely with each other and the trading desk. The units are comprised of 14 people across sales, trading and development and are situated on the trading floor.
Your Role
As Quantitative Analyst Intern, you will work under the guidance of colleagues in our eFX business unit, and your work will be focused on currencies trading with the aim to optimize our customer offering. The work process will cover the whole development life cycle from analysis and investigation to implementation. You should have a passion for programming, mathematics, financial markets and for learning new skills.

Your Profile
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Studies at a technical university with focus on mathematics and programming.
- Is about to start the 5th year of university studies.
- Is business oriented.
- Has a strong academic track record.
- Has an interest in financial markets.
- Has strong programming skills.
- Has the ability to learn quickly.
As a person you should be self-reliant, driven and have a desire to exceed expectations. Considering our close cooperation with other teams, you should be a strong team player, communicator and work in a structured manner.
The internship ideally stretches from September to January and to make it as mutually rewarding as possible, we are looking for candidates who are available one day per week (on average) at our office in central Stockholm during the fall semester. In connection with this, we also aim to expand our eFX team, and the internship may serve as a pathway toward future full‑time employment.
