About the Role


As our Senior Specialist – EE Architecture, you'll be a key enabler to deliver faster, smarter, and higher-quality software within CCI. You’ll lead the transformation of a complex, high-performance CI/CD environment into a cloud-agnostic, scalable ecosystem that leverages the best of open source, AI/ML, and DevSecOps.


This is a strategic technical leadership role with a global impact. You will set the direction for tooling, architecture, and workflows that support the entire RAN Software and Compute (RCE) organization — enabling seamless integration, fast feedback loops, and secure deployments at scale.


TEE (Test & Engineering Environment) is a core part of CCI PEU (Cloud Compute Infrastructure) , which is now embedded within the newly restructured RCE (RAN SW & Compute Platform Engineering) unit at Ericsson. Together, we form the foundation that powers world-class RAN development, integration, and deployment capabilities on a global scale.

We’re looking for a visionary technical leader to help us revolutionize our continuous integration and delivery systems and take our cloud-native journey to the next level.


What you will do:


  • Own and drive the evolution of the Engineering Environment (EE) Architecture, in alignment with Ericsson’s One RAN strategy
  • Transform legacy infrastructure into a cloud-native CI/CD ecosystem using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift
  • Introduce AI/ML to enable intelligent automation, fault prediction, and continuous quality improvement
  • Lead the charge on DevSecOps, embedding security practices directly into the CI/CD pipelines
  • Collaborate across teams and initiatives such as ESP Evolution, and unite module CI pipelines under a consistent and flexible architecture
  • Guide and mentor CI developers, promote best practices, and foster cross-team consensus on technical solutions
  • Keep Ericsson at the forefront of innovation by tracking open-source trends, proposing patents, and continuously sharing knowledge
  • Conduct architecture reviews, shape the technical roadmap, and enable a culture of learning through coaching and technical talks


Skills You Bring:


  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communication Systems or related fields
  • Proven expertise in CI/CD architecture and engineering environments at scale
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)
  • Experience in security integration within CI pipelines and modern DevOps/DevSecOps practices
  • Applied experience with AI/ML for software pipeline optimization
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and align cross-functional teams in complex technical environments
  • Strategic mindset and architectural review skills
  • A strong passion for continuous innovation, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership
  • Active interest in industry developments and contributions to open-source or patent initiatives
