We are seeking a creative, fast-moving Software Engineer with rapid prototyping expertise to join our Innovation Team here at Sympower. This new group focuses on building quick, functional proof-of-concept solutions for testing new value propositions with our customers.

You'll need to be comfortable with rapidly experimenting, iterating, and hacking together proof-of-concepts to solve problems, collect feedback, and drive decision-making.

What you will do

• Champion and demonstrate engineering excellence, foster innovation, and encourage risk-taking, all while supporting Sympower's future strategy

• Quickly develop prototypes and proof-of-concept applications

• Collaborate with different teams with the company and customers to validate ideas, concepts, and solutions

• Solve technical challenges with innovative, efficient solutions

• Collect customer feedback and integrate insights into proof-of-concepts iteration

• Deep experience with rapid prototyping, MVP development, and solution validation

• 3+ years professional Java/Kotlin engineering experience

• Background defining pilot criteria and success metrics to validate prototypes

• Comfortable with ambiguity and iterative experimentation

• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset

• Fluent in English required; other languages are nice to have

• Nice to have: up-to-date knowledge of the latest innovations within the energy industry and interest in innovations across other industries
