WeQuel is seeking a talented consultant for our client, AstraZeneca

AstraZeneca stands as a global powerhouse in the research, development, and production of groundbreaking medicines. Driven by a mission to transform bold ideas into life-saving innovations, AstraZeneca fosters a collaborative and inclusive workplace where every voice is valued, and every idea has the potential to change lives.

About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Scientist/Operational Technologist for AstraZeneca’s Drug Product Delivery (DPD) department, part of the Pharmaceutical Technology and Development (PT&D) organization. Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, this role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about science, eager to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment, and committed to delivering high-quality medicines to clinical trial patients worldwide.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in pharmaceutical development, working closely with experienced operators in AstraZeneca’s GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) facilities. You will contribute directly to the packaging and labeling of drug products for clinical studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist GMP operators in the preparation and cleanup of process rooms and equipment.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and clean equipment used in clinical manufacturing.
  • Perform primary packing of tablets or capsules (manual or automated processes).
  • Conduct secondary packing, including labeling study materials (manual or automated processes).
  • Adhere to Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) and GMP standards in all operations.

This role is designed to address short-term bottlenecks in production and involves working under supervision without full GMP operator certification.

Your Profile
We’re looking for someone with a passion for practical, hands-on work in pharmaceutical development. Preferred candidates will have:

  • A completed upper secondary education in natural or technical sciences.
  • A detail-oriented approach with the ability to follow written procedures and document tasks accurately.
  • Knowledge or experience with GMP standards (desirable).
  • Interest in manufacturing techniques and equipment.
  • Flexibility, strong teamwork skills, and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

What’s in It for You?
At AstraZeneca, you’ll join one of the world’s most dynamic biopharmaceutical companies. This role offers a chance to make a tangible impact on the development of life-changing medicines while learning from some of the most talented professionals in the field.
