The Development Optimisation & Pipeline Management department within RWE's Offshore Wind business, has a global mandate and outreach to directly and indirectly support the regional development organizations and project teams with various aspects of development project delivery. One of the sub-teams of this department - Development Optimisation and Strategic Topics - focuses on optimizing how RWE develops offshore wind projects while also managing several topics of strategic importance.

About the role
As a Strategic Project Manager, you will manage, support and develop a portfolio of global initiatives aimed at optimising and making our Offshore Development as efficient and impactful as possible. The responsibilities of the team includes Lessons Learned, Auction Delivery Success, Development Optimisation, Resource Planning, Performance Dialogue, Auction Decision Support, Information Sharing, Process Implementation and Workshop Facilitation. Your role will be complex as the teams your work with will be located within the global functions for offshore development, engineering, finance and many different experts. In the role you will form relationships with internal and external stakeholders and you will often act as an interface and information facilitator between different departments.

We are offering you, a self-confident and independent Project Manager the possibility to leverage your existing skill-sets to further enhance the capabilities of RWE Renewables in the highly competitive area of offshore wind.

Your responsibility:

• Develop, lead and manage strategic projects to ensure our Development success in Offshore Wind
• Develop global solutions to the challenges facing the Offshore Development organisation, facilitate the roll out of the solutions and assist the regional development teams to implement the solutions
• Deliver a systematic approach to Development Optimisation and Strategic Topics including a way to measure the success of the initiatives
• Develop a framework for identifying, and collecting best practices, including playing an active part in the data collection and documentation of what has been developed throughout RWE Offshore
• Catalyse communication across different parts of the business to develop and share best practices and maximise organisational learnings.
• Work across the development organisation to find solutions for optimising, delivering and anchoring optimisation and efficiency initiatives in a lean and effective manner
• Work actively together with the development project/teams to ensure that global solutions and learnings are implemented as well as project planning is optimised with main attention being on items yielding the most benefit
Work in close cooperation with both the wider offshore business and your Development Optimisation colleagues to provide value to the organisation

Your profile
To thrive and succeed in this team-focused and fun job. We believe that you are communicative, structured and driven and that you of course share our passion for wind power! In addition, you should be an all-round artist with a personal impact and a commercial mind topped off with a little flexibility. We believe that your enthusiasm to do an outstanding performance is more important than your specific experience. However, having a master University degree in business administration, engineering, economy or similar, as a minimum, is a hard requirement.

We also think you have:

• Background in Consultancy or Utility Energy business as well as experience within offshore wind auction delivery, commercial development or strategic consulting is an advantage
• Business level English, other language skills are an advantage
• Passion for the renewable and offshore wind industry
• Experience in managing intense projects within a multi-functional team across geographies and business functions
• Strong business orientation, self-motivated, structured and a proactive working approach
• Strong ability to manage own performance, with a significant focus on delivery and an ability to balance a varied and challenging workload, whilst producing high quality results in demanding timeframes
• Ability to explain complex and detailed project issues in a straightforward way
• Hands-on approach, flexible, confident and in an open minded manner
• Ability to be proactive and take responsibility for a wide range of matters, while responding to business demands
Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly for leading teams across different functions
