As our Payroll Specialist you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees. You will also provide payroll business partnership to relevant functions within the Company as well as be our go-to person in all payroll related areas for all employees.

In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Payroll Management: Execute end-to-end payroll processing activities for employees, including data entry, calculations of salaries, bonuses, and deductions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established deadlines. Responsible for matrix interactions with local HR, HR operations and the outsourcing partner to ensure effective handle of payroll management.

Compliance: Stay updated on Swedish labor laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements to ensure compliance in all payroll-related activities. Interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations appropriately. Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll information.

Tax Management: Calculate and process tax withholdings, including income tax, social security contributions, and other statutory deductions in compliance with Swedish tax laws. Coordinate with tax authorities as necessary.

Benefit Administration: Lead employee benefits administration, including pensions, insurance, and other fringe benefits, ensuring accurate deductions and contributions in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.

Employee Inquiries: Address employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and benefits promptly and accurately. Provide excellent customer service to resolve issues and concerns effectively.

Reporting: Generate payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax filings, and other relevant reports for internal and external collaborators. Prepare and submit statutory reports to regulatory authorities as required.

Process Improvement: See opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in payroll operations. Implement best way of working to streamline processes and enhance accuracy and timeliness.

Who You Are:

You are meticulous and thorough, ensuring every aspect of payroll is accurate and stays in sync with regulations. You excel in a vibrant environment, quickly adapting to changes and proactively seeking solutions. You are a collaborative teammate, working effectively with HR, Finance, and IT departments. Your excellent communication skills allow you to build relationships and support employee inquiries efficiently, and you continuously strive to enhance payroll operations. You have a solid attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum 2 years of post-secondary education or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English and Swedish.
  • Extensive work experience in payroll management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Swedish labor laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Experience within Oracle HCM and timekeeping software FLEX.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements.
