Arla has made significant progresses in transforming our EHS culture, and we are now seeking a highly skilled EHS Manager to lead our operations in Sweden & Finland. This role does not entail line manager responsibilities and will be based in our Stockholm office, reporting to the Global Environment, Health & Safety Director. How you will make an impact

You will provide expert guidance aligned with our global QEHS agenda, developing local initiatives and participating in global efforts to reduce risks across EHS. You will establish organisational competence in terms of skills, knowledge, and behaviors.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting SE/FI QEHS Business Partner and operational teams in achieving compliance with internal and external standards
  • Streamlining and harmonizing working methods for the Sweden and Finland organization in line with Arla's Integrated Management Systems
  • Assisting in serious incident and accident management situations, including liaising with authorities
  • Support the orginisation in risk assessments, root cause investigations and corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
  • Monitoring and targeting EHS-related metrics and KPIs
  • Collaborating across the business to share EHS learnings and best practices
  • Acting as the primary contact for relevant authorities, industries, and certifying bodies regarding environmental matters
  • Conduct EHS inspections where relevant to support standard compliance
  • Providing EHS leadership and guidance to our Sweden & Finland Supply Chain
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure continuous improvement for EHS practices.

What will make you successful

To succeed in this role, you should possess solid experience in Environmental, Health & Safety, ideally in a similar role within the food production industry. You should have experience in engaging with stakeholders across FMCG operations, retailers, and logistics. Additionally, experience in a Program Manager role and relevant accreditations in Environment, Health & Safety are desirable. As a person, you demonstrate integrity, judgement, and the ability to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively. You have a strong personal drive and passion for health and safety. You possess analytical skills to handle complexity and can operate at both operational and strategic levels. Influencing local management teams successfully is also a crucial skill.
