The Position
At Toyota Material Handling Europe, joining us isn't just taking on a role - it's becoming part of a team that thrives on collaboration and innovation in an inspiring environment. We are now seeking a Senior Project Manager to join us on our ongoing journey of innovation and growth.
In this role, you will spearhead the development of Automatic Warehouse Trucks, advanced vehicles programmed to perform all warehouse tasks autonomously and safely while seamlessly collaborating with manual trucks. Equipped with state-of-the-art scanners and sensors for obstacle and pallet detection, these trucks are a key part of our mission to create smarter, more efficient logistics solutions.
You will work at our Project Management Office, where innovation meets teamwork, planning and leading product development projects to achieve strategic goals. Acting on behalf of the project sponsor, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and experts, driving ideas from concept to reality.
You will report to the Manager R&D Project Lead.

You will report to the Manager R&D Project Lead.
Your Responsibilities
- Drive projects to success by engaging and motivating team members while resolving challenges.
- Build and manage the project team, ensuring clear roles and accountability.
- Identify risks and deviations, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Develop and monitor schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Oversee the project lifecycle from concept to industrialisation and production launch.
- Keep sponsors, stakeholders, and teams informed with clear, regular updates.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
- Contribute to strategic discussions shaping the future of R&D initiatives.
- At least 7 years of experience in an industrial business area, including at least 2 years in project management.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with relevant training.
- A foundational understanding of autonomous systems.
- Certification and experience in PMI/IPMA or ISO 21 500 methodologies are an advantage.
- Extensive experience as a project manager, in agile roles or other senior technical leadership positions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
