We are currently recruiting for a Product Manager to join our team and drive the strategy, development, and go-to-market execution of hardware, peripherals, and related services for Telecare markets across Europe, the UK, and APAC. This role is based at our office in Malmo or other Tunstall location in Spain (Madrid), Germany (Telgte) or the UK (Manchester), we estimate 20% of time will be travel and working from another base.

What will you be doing in this role?

As a Product Manager at Tunstall, you will oversee our core devices throughout their lifecycle – from ideation and concept development to launch, market rollout, and operations – ensuring successful deployment and operations in collaboration with regional product teams. Your expertise will be critical in delivering innovative, market-ready solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.

The Ideal candidate:

You will have proven experience in product management preferably in a hardware of technical product development environment, and with familiarity of telecare concepts and the broader health care / assistive technology sector. A proven track record of integrating AI and data-driven thinking into product development is vital to the success of this role.

You will have a familiarity of Agile/ SAFe and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to influence effectively. You will be an adaptable, proactive, team player, used to taking responsibility for your products with a track record of delivering results. To be successful in this role you will be highly customer focused, performance driven and able to work in an international set up.

This role will require some travel, including international travel.

Some of your key day to day tasks will be…

  • Monitor Telecare market trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies relevant to Tunstall’s business,
  • Maintain subject matter expertise on company products and act as an internal authority,
  • Conduct product positioning analysis and portfolio evaluations to align with evolving market demands,
  • Support the Product Director in assessing new technologies and ordering technical investigations to enhance customer solutions,
  • Collaborate with Product Teams and regional stakeholders to translate market needs into clear, actionable requirements,
  • Partner with Delivery teams to ensure solutions meet customer expectations and are delivered on time,
  • Advocate for the customer within development teams, providing market context for feature requests,
  • Define non-functional requirements (performance, security, compliance, scalability, etc.) in alignment with technical experts,
  • Prepare business cases, gate approvals, and support Investment Appraisals for new projects,
  • Manage the product backlog, prioritize epics, and align development with business value,
  • Review and approve feature descriptions, user journeys, and UX/development proposals,
  • Support Global Product Marketing in creating launch materials and documentation,
  • Work with Technical Product Managers to define testing criteria and validate features through UAT,
  • Analyse product performance metrics and recommend improvements to inform the roadmap,
  • Propose enhancements or new features that align with business goals and service revenue growth,
  • Oversee end-of-life product transitions and manage phase-out strategies,
  • Define technical requirements for engineering teams to support accurate tender estimations,
  • Foster cross-functional teamwork to drive product excellence,
  • Champion Tunstall’s leadership behaviours and promote a collaborative, high-performance culture,
  • Challenge constructively, build credibility, and influence stakeholders at all levels,
  • Adapt to a culturally diverse business environment and integrate best practices,
  • Serve as the customer’s voice in strategic and operational decisions.

Key skills and experience:

  • Proven Product Management experience, preferably in a hardware or technical product development environment,
  • Familiarity with Telecare concepts and the broader healthcare/assistive technology sector.
  • Proven track record in integrating AI and data-driven thinking into product development,
  • Experience working in multicultural, multinational teams with cross-functional collaboration,
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at all organisational levels,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearlys
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),
  • Agile/SAFe familiarity – experience in backlog management, roadmap development, and feature prioritization,
  • Market analysis expertise – ability to assess trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes,
  • Customer-focused, performance-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality results,
  • Adaptable, resilient, and able to thrive in a dynamic, evolving market,
  • Self-motivated, able to act on initiative and manage priorities effectively.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of cloud-based services, app development, or IoT integrations,
  • Experience as an Agile Product Owner (SCRUM),
  • Advanced technical degree (e.g., MSc, MBA) or certifications in Product Management,
  • Background in hardware-software platform integrations.
