Job Description

Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Commercial Tender Specialist in Nordics and be part of an outstanding team driving world-class sales success! This is an outstanding opportunity to collaborate closely with internal and external collaborators to flawlessly implement tender solutions and compete in the academic segment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the achievement of sales targets by identifying and developing opportunities from public tenders.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local account managers to consider products and pricing in tender responses.
  • Analyze tender content to qualify leads on high-value accounts and participate in Go/No Go decisions to improve win rates.
  • Coordinate with relevant functions to ensure appropriate product selection.
  • Optimize price offerings in compliance with the company's sales strategy and market dynamics.
  • Collaborate with the local Tender Specialist to provide all necessary technical and commercial elements for timely tender submissions.
  • Maintain detailed customer and opportunity records in SalesForce.com.
  • Analyze lost tenders and strategize with account managers and Tender Specialists to win future tenders.
  • Keep a library of technical documents used in tenders for future reference.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English and Swedish; knowledge of Finnish, Norwegian, or Danish is a plus.
  • Recognized qualification in sciences with laboratory product knowledge.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
  • Practical understanding of the sales process.
  • Previous tele-sales/sales experience is desirable.
  • Home-office based with occasional travel for customer meetings and training sessions.
  • Good understanding of the Nordics market and excellent organizational and Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in selling through tenders in the lab market.
