Business Information Security Officer (BISO) to GTT-CDO-office

Do you want to be part of setting the future Digital Product landscape at Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) and ensure that we have efficient digital development tools and methods that will support the Volvo products?

We are now looking for a new colleague to join our team of experienced and motivated people. As Business Information Security Officer (BISO) at Volvo Group Trucks Technology you will set the strategies and secure consistent way of working within the GTT Digital & IT Community for the development and maintenance of AB Volvo’s R&D IT-systems and tools.

You will work cross several Truck Divisions and Business Areas.

Group Trucks Technology Chief Digital Officer Office (GTT-CDO-Office) is organized within Volvo GTT- Vehicle Technology and have the full responsibility for developing and maintaining AB Volvo’s R&D-tools IT and GTT’s IT-infrastructure.

We support the GTT CDO in the daily work and prioritizing, investigating, and preparing new and existing initiatives from within AB Volvo as well as from external collaborations.

You will report to the GTT-CDO-Office Director.

Who are you?

As we don’t know you yet, we might not have everything right about your background, but we think that you have a passion for information and cyber security with many years of experience in IT-systems and infrastructure development or similar. You also have experience from how to generate wider impact on a large organization in terms of culture, processes, compliance and governance.

You like to analyze and to aggregate complex tasks and are comfortable in making clear recommendations. In situations of uncertainties and ambiguity you look for solutions. If needed, you can be persistent in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.

We think you are an organized person with direction setting ability and capable to make suitable compromises (e.g scope balancing) to reach the expected results over time. You are also able to take fast actions when needed to ensure progress in execution.

The role – what do we offer?

The Business Information Security Officer (BISO) acts as a strategic information security advisor in GTT, aligning GTT’s security practices with the Group's overall strategy. The GTT-BISO adjusts compliance requirements to address the specific needs and challenges of GTT.

The BISO also facilitates communication between GTT and the Group's functions. You convey relevant feedback from GTT to Group functions, and vice versa, promoting a unified approach to information security across the organization.

This strategic position enables the BISO to promote security initiatives that address the specific needs of GTT while supporting the Volvo Group's overarching goals.

Developing and maintaining a Business Information and Cyber Security roadmap for GTT, approved by executive management to guide and support its successful implementation and ensure its continued applicability.

As GTT-BISO, you will:

• You will build up and coordinate GTT’s capabilities around information & cyber security, in tight collaboration with the functions in GTT, Group security and our key partners.

• Have a senior level position within GTT’s CDO-Office reporting to the GTT CDO-Office Director.

• Establish a network inside GTT around information security.

• Act as a coach for GTT on Information & cyber security topics, champion a healthy security culture inside GTT.

• Lead, coordinate, and drive GTT’s information security function and set the information security vision and strategy for the organization.

• Participate in incident handling and risk assessment.

• Drive the dialogue with business representatives to understand their needs and secure the translation into concrete deliverables that create business value.

• Work in a close collaboration with GTT’s Enterprise Architect’s to optimize our digital landscape.

• Evolve vision and strategy cross digital product area aligned with Volvo Group strategic direction.

What we expect from you:

• We believe you are good at identifying possibilities, map them to the strategic needs, and bring people with you through the entire life cycle of our products.

• You have very good communication skills and are comfortable in making clear recommendations in complex matters on all management levels.

• Extensive IT or Product Development Management Experience.

• Multiple years of professional experience in the field of Cyber Security, IT Security or Information Security, preferably within Enterprise Information Security.

• Excellent knowledge within InfoSec best practices, process design and implementation.

• Deep understanding of how IT- and InfoSec contribute to increased protection of business operations.

• You are skilled at Stakeholder Management, Scoping, Scheduling, Quality, Risk management and planning.

• Strategy and roadmap development experience.

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Information Security or similar role.

• Experience with one or more security frameworks (NIST, ISO 21434, ISO 27001, MITRe, CIS, CCM).

• Knowledge within data protection laws applicable worldwide, especially GDPR, Federal Trade Commission Act, HIPAA, GLBA.

• Good knowledge of available security solutions to enhance security postures for enterprise applications such as CDN, WAF, Bot management, RASP, Attack analysis.

• Relevant certifications in the area e.g. CISSP are considered to be meritorious.

• Fluency in English, verbal and written.

• Big network within AB Volvo is a merit.
