Electrical Construction Manager Skills:
- Electrical trade qualification or degree in electrical engineering.
- Proven experience in managing electrical construction projects, ideally in industrial, commercial, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and subcontractors.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical systems, installation techniques, and safety standards.
- Solid understanding of project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Experience working with H&S regulations (ISO, Safe Electric, etc.) and implementing site safety protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) and industry-standard construction software.
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and reporting skills, with experience liaising with clients, consultants, and site teams.
- Oversee electrical construction activities from start to finish, ensuring compliance with design, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Lead and manage on-site electrical teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep the project moving efficiently.
- Work closely with the project management team, ensuring electrical works align with overall construction timelines and targets.
- Ensure strict adherence to H&S regulations, carrying out risk assessments, safety inspections, and enforcing best practices.
- Take responsibility for material procurement, logistics, and coordination, ensuring availability of equipment and minimizing delays.
- Monitor work quality, progress, and productivity, solving problems proactively and keeping everything on track.
- Manage technical queries, RFIs, and design coordination, collaborating with engineers, consultants, and clients.
- Attend progress meetings, providing updates on electrical scope, budget, risks, and issues.
- Ensure accurate documentation, including daily reports, method statements, and handover documentation.
- Support the commissioning, testing, and handover of electrical systems, ensuring full functionality before project completion.
- Keep up with new technologies, industry regulations, and best practices to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Handle any other duties necessary to support successful project execution.
