As Android Developer, you will work in one of our product development teams as well as play a big role in our App community consisting of 6 Android Developers and 8 iOS Developers working daily in creating a crisp and delightful UI for our users. You will contribute to all stages in the product life cycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance. Together with us you will have the ability to create a big impact on what we build and how we build it, as each team is in control of their own product decisions.

We work with a data-driven approach in close collaboration with each other - exploring, testing and iterating. Thanks to our large amount of traffic, we quickly validate against real data and learn from new insights.

What you will do

• Create high-quality and robust features, owning the development process from planning to final delivery and follow up.

• Work closely with passionate and experienced product managers, designers, and other engineers with different backgrounds to plan and ensure high-quality results.

• Be an active participant in the App Community and wider product development team at Hemnet.

• Proactively improve the product by fixing, maintaining, organising and automating.

Who are you?

To become successful in this position we believe that you are up to date with the latest Native Android tooling and development. You also enjoy knowledge sharing and learning together, putting extra effort into code reviews (which also makes work more fun). With an eye for design, you always strive to create simple and easy-to-understand solutions. You have experience working with consumer facing apps focusing on external users. We also believe you have worked with different kinds of release processes and truly believe in the value of automated testing.
