This new role will complement our team by focusing on building the future of Najell’s product offering, by strengthening our supplier base, driving product innovation, and ensuring long-term cost and quality efficiency.

Strategic Purchaser

As Strategic Purchaser, your mission is to develop and execute Najell’s long-term sourcing strategy, strengthen supplier partnerships, and enable successful product development in new and existing categories.

Key Responsibilities:

• Start up production at new factories, from selection and negotiation to onboarding and quality alignment.
• Drive material innovation and optimization, including identifying and developing sustainable or more efficient alternatives.
• Collaborate closely with Product Development, acting as the bridge between concept and production.
• Lead strategic sourcing projects, including new product categories and complex assemblies.
• Secure long-term cost control through price benchmarking and total cost analysis.
• Develop and maintain supplier scorecards to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Support in shaping Najell’s supply chain strategy for growth and scalability.
• This role will include traveling 4-6 weeks per year.

• Motivation is most important and knowledge on a selection of materials (textiles, metal, wood, electronics) is a benefit.
• Fluent in English (Swedish is a plus).

Experience & Qualifications:

• 3–5+ years of experience in strategic purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain development, ideally in consumer products or manufacturing.
• Proven experience in material development and/or setting up new supplier collaborations.
• Familiarity with product development processes, BOMs, and product lifecycle management.
• Experience with sustainability, compliance, or cost engineering is a bonus.
• Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or similar field.
