Group Manager Engine Transmission
At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. As GROUP MANAGER ENGINE TRANSMISSION within the group Engine Transmission you will be responsible for deliveries and development of your area and team. Engine Transmission is responsible for the development of all chain and belt transmissions on the base engine. The system includes Auxiliary, Cam and Oil pump transmission. Today the team consists of 12 people that are responsible for designing engine parts.
Within the Section Base Engine Engineering you will be a part of the sections management team and have a personal responsibility for technical, cost and resources performance for the complete Engine Transmission group. Your mindset should be visionary and with an aim of finding solutions for the future. Your general technical competence, as well as your ability to manage people, should be strong so that you can make your own decisions and lead the groups work forward. This is a very challenging role requiring energy and dedication. In return it will give you an extensive network and great opportunities to develop your team and yourself.
Lead and coach the technical development team.
Lead and allocate the resources of the group
Together with your team grow into future needs
Communicate and report to the Engine Engineering Management team.
High level of energy with an ability to support others in a complex environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Very good analytical ability and strong in follow up
Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
Previous experience from leading teams
Minimum a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
Meritorious is former experience from automotive industry
