You will be part of Treasury & Finance in Västerås. The Swedish Treasury & Finance unit comprises Finance Services, Project & Trade Finance, Credit Risk Management and Pension & Employee Foundations. We are in total 29 persons including our management team of six whereof three have personnel responsibility. In Sweden, we are managing processes within areas such as Foreign Exchange, Liquidity, Credit Control, Guarantees, Risk Cover, Financial Advisory as well as Export and Project Financing.
As Credit Manager within ABB, you will assess large-scale credit risks and be a crucial support to our business units on both local and global level. On behalf of ABB Sweden, your main objective will be to formulate and implement instructions, policies and processes within the credit area as well as to further develop our system support and tools. You will for instance make sure our local instructions adhere to group policies as well as offer training sessions to sales, purchasing and finance staff in order to highlight credit risks involved in their daily work. Moreover, it will be your responsibility to decide new credit limits and revise existing limits in accordance with the Country Credit Committee's (CCC) accepted limits. Another part of the role includes preparing credit analyses of all projects before they are risk reviewed. On a quarterly and yearly basis you will make a risk analysis of the 100 major external customer exposures and follow up special customers and industries on behalf of the local business units. Most of your job will be executed at the office in Västerås and together with colleagues from Treasury & Finance, Shared Accounting Services, division controllers etc. As a representative for the Swedish business, you will also be in frequent contact with sales teams and the Global Credit Manager as well as arrange meetings with the CCC and other stakeholders within the credit area. In addition, you will be a member of Treasury & Finance's management team and report to the Country Treasurer.
You have an MBA or equivalent degree and several years' experience as sales manager, CFO or Controller. Familiarity with reporting, credit assessment and risk management is crucial for your success, as is insight into the sales process from both a customer and supplier perspective. It is highly advantageous if you have experience from ABB's business units, you could for instance have a position within any of our sales, purchasing or financial departments. Fluency in Swedish and English, as well as knowledge of SAP070 are required. During your career, you have most likely been in contact with Bureau van Dijk, UC and D&B and possibly been using QlikView and SAP Credit Management. Further, you enjoy holding presentations and have strong communication skills, written and spoken alike. In the role as Credit Manager, you need to be confident in your competence and able to establish strong relationships throughout the organization. Your senior experience makes you a trustworthy and reliable business partner with the capacity to manage process related projects and implement necessary changes.
