Sandvik’s Group External Communications has global responsibility for the Group’s external communication in publications on the Internet, in the media and in other contexts. Sandvik’s Communication department currently employs some 15 people to deliver world-class communication. The need for communication is characterized by increased interest from many groups, such as media, financial markets, customers, partners and co-workers. Some of the products we are responsible for are Sandvik’s annual report, Sandvik’s World and Meet Sandvik.

As one of our co-workers is retiring in 2013, we are currently looking for a successor.

Key performance areas

As a Communication Professional you will work with, and have responsibility for, a number of products in the department, as well as participating in developing Sandvik’s sustainability communication. You will also work in close cooperation with colleagues in business groups around the world. As Sandvik’s largest markets are the US, Australia, Germany, China, South Africa, Brazil and Sweden, it is important that you can maintain a flexible focus.

The position will include some traveling.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with relevant education, as well as experience as a project leader and several years of working for a global company. Experience from media, for example as a journalist, is very advantageous as is good knowledge of Photoshop and film editing. Additionally, you should have good understanding of processes in an industrial business built on both history and innovation. You are also fluent in English, both written and verbal. Other languages are considered an advantage.

As a person you are responsible and result oriented, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. As you will be responsible for complex products in the department, it is also important that you are a good organizer. We expect you to be a skilled writer and have great interest in Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) issues. Furthermore, you must be open for new communication channels, have a sense for color and form and enjoy working with pictures and film.
